Julie & The Moth Man was co-produced by Jagz Kooner, who also remixed Club Foot, L.S.F. (Lost Souls Forever) and Empire. It contains a reference to the 1970 film El Topo.
The official video for Re-Wired contains a reference to Julie & The Moth Man.
Live[]
Julie & The Moth Man was debuted in Paris on 23 October 2009, several days before it was released, opening the gig. It remained the opener until spring 2010, then it was moved to the middle of the set where it seamlessly followed Reason Is Treason. During summer 2010 Serge often added a snippet of the Salt-n-Pepa song Push It. In March 2018 the song was performed again for the first time since the end of the West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum Tour in August 2010.
