BackgroundEdit

There are at least two different versions of Rain On My Soul, also known as "Rain", each with different lyrics. The song later evolved into Test Transmission and was released on the debut album. One version, allegedly recorded in September 2000, was leaked online in June 2009. Another was uploaded in April 2011.

LyricsEdit

Version 1

Come to me as I lie awake
I'm staring at these walls
And hold my last
You're moving too fast

And my friend for a moment now
I couldn't catch my breath
There's nothing here
We've got the fear

To rain on my soul
Life's in a bowl
Rain on my soul

Don't look down, I'll protect you now
Won't let you fall
And when the panic comes
We'll let the river take us back home

So rain on my soul
Life's in a bowl
Rain on my soul

Rain on my soul
Life's in a bowl
Rain on my soul

Version 2

Rain on my soul
Lies in a bowl
The rain takes its toll

Here's a shadow of all you care
Need to take your dreams
To where they fall
And where they're found

And underneath the ?
He tags name upon the wall
Please don't call

Rain on my soul
Lies in a bowl
Rain on my soul

And I'll never lose it all to them
And the rain comes crashing down again

Homeless pouring among us all
Singing songs of love and on my head
And you can't seen what he has seen
In your head, your feet, your bones
There's nothing to say

Rain on my soul
Lies in a bowl
Rain on my soul

And I'll never lose it all to them
And the rain comes crashing down again

Rain on my soul
Lies in a bowl
Rain on my soul
